In the skit, that appeared on the Dec. 5 episode of “Saturday Night Live,” Seth Meyers, the Weekend Update anchor, says that Ms. Murphy had recently been fired from a film called “The Caller.” Then his castmate Abby Elliott, impersonating Ms. Murphy, enters. "And ... oh noooo," he adds as she appears next to him.
"I'm really honored to be here hosting ‘Saturday Night Live,'" a loopy looking Elliot says, playing Murphy.
"No, Brittany, you're not hosting," Meyers explains,
Faux Murphy says she's been fired, and tells Meyers that it's not so bad.
"I got a plan," she says. "When the movie comes out, I'm going to go to the theater and say, ‘Booooo." And then the audience will join in and say, ‘Boo' … Best plan ever."
Meyers, responds, "I wouldn't call that the best plan ever."
